Weekend at Burnet

I went to see my wonderful friend Lynda a week or two ago and we had a great time. It was so nice to see her and spend time doing girl things with no children around. I love my children but sometimes PrincessMommy needs a break! So here are a few pictures from our time together with her daughter Haley!

We went to a bead store that morning because they decided we needed to make our own jewelry so here we are with our new necklaces and pretty santa socks!

And then we got all dressed up and went to church on Sunday!

I miss Lynda a lot. She is so funny and makes me want to be a better mom, wife, friend, christian. I love her laugh and the fact that she cries every Sunday! No matter what. I actually make fun of her for that too. She helped me to grow in my relationship with the LORD more than I ever thought possible. I will never be able to thank her enough for helping me to really KNOW HIM!!!

I am so thankful that God knew I needed Lynda in my life and brought her here to me! She has been a wonderful blessing and Super sweet friend!

Christmas Tree Investigation

Cannon loves the Christmas tree. He sits by it and plays with one ornament. He takes it off looks at it and hangs it up again...and again...and again!

This was him the other night rearranging the ornaments. He really likes the red jingle bell he is holding. I was watching him and his sweet little face so serious and then I heard a plop of the bell and saw this.

Yes, those are Cannon's legs sticking out from under the tree. After the first time he thought that was pretty neat so he did it a few more times. I love the excitement the boys have to see Santa, looking at the tree, Christmas lights around town and questions of how much longer until they get to open a present. I hope that in all the excitement of the little things they will remember the true reason for the season. I want them to know that the best gift was our Savior Jesus!

Kindergarten Field Trip

Today was Carson's Kindergarten field trip to see Santa and Fantasy of Lights at MSU. His little face was so sweet when he went up to see Santa and tell him what he wanted. When he was finished talking to Santa I asked him what he asked Santa for. He said,"drum, guitar and trumpet." Well, that is not going to happen! But never hurts to ask right?
After Santa the whole Kindergarten (probably around 65 kids) headed for McDonald's. Oh yes it was grand! I'm sure the other customers there was very concerned when they saw us coming but I have to say everyone was very well behaved.
I asked Carson this evening how he liked the field trip and he said "it was so fun. I got to see Santa two times!"

I took the boys on Monday afternoon to see Santa. On the way there Corbin announces that this is not the real Santa. I asked him to stop sharing about Santa right now and he was like "what?" Once we got there Corbin and Carson did great sitting still and smiling so big and Cannon was not happy. He would not smile for any kind of bribe I had to offer. I finally told the lady it was fine it is just one more story I will have to tell when he gets older.

Slip-n-Slide

My big guy is probably going to die when he finds out I told this story but it is too FUNNY!! Saturday night Corbin woke up sick. He said his tummy hurt so he thought he would just get a drink of water. Kids!! Well, while he was in the kitchen he threw up. I heard the SPLAT on the floor and know the sound so I turned on the light and yelled for Big Guy to wake up "someone is throwing up!" I get in there first and I am trying to get Corbin to walk to the laundry room, but you know children they just stand in a daze and throw up again. So, here comes Big guy RUNNING HALF ASLEEP and hits the "stuff" and slip-n-slide (with out the yellow slide). His 6'4, 210 lb body hits the floor and slides into Corbin. (No, Corbin did not fall!) It was so Funny and yes a little scary. My first thought was the he probably broke a hip but he was fine just a little sore and dazed by being woke up with a big crash!! I hope you are all laughing as hard as I did after he got out of the shower. Before then I was a little concerned we might be going to the ER!

Happy Birthday Cannon

Cannon is 3 years old today. It has been so much fun to watch him grow into our little big boy. He tries so hard to keep up with his big brothers and he actually does a good job. Here are a few things that makes me love Cannon:
*He calls the computer "McPeter"
*His wrists still have the crease around them that make him still baby.
*He is learning to use really big words and in the right context most of the time.
*He says "Mommy I love you" for no reason at all.
*He sings all his ABC's except for "J". (he has two k's)
*He loves to sing songs and has the sweetest voice.
*He has a blankie that goes every where we go. He rubs the corner of it when he gets tired.
*When he wants me or he is tired he says,"Mommy, hold you." It melts my heart every time.

My prayer for Cannon (Corbin & Carson) is that he ask Jesus to be his Savior, he will grow up to be a mighty warrior for Christ and that he will LOVE Jesus for his whole life. I pray he will be a happy man and be filled with JOY!

Things to Think About

Corbin has been home from school for 2 days with a high fever so it has given me time to think about things and work on my Bible Study. I am doing the Beth Moore study on Paul. I have learned so much about Paul and how I can have a ministry here in my little world. My eyes have been opened to not only how easy I have had it (even though there have been hard times) I haven't ever been ship wrecked or beaten or put in jail for my beliefs. I thank God that I have been able to grow in my relationship with HIM and that he is an everyday part of my life. I walked into the playroom yesterday and there sat Corbin with his bible on his lap. He asked for a Veggie Tale show and then he was reading in his bible to go along with that story. That made my heart want to burst with JOY because he is looking for himself to learn about Jesus. I pray that he will continue to look for Jesus his whole life! Nothing could be more important! It has been almost a year since he was baptized. What a great day this was.

He's a Big Boy

Today was the day we took down the baby bed. I'm so sad. We started to take it down about a month ago and I started crying so bad that Big Guy put it back pretty quick! It is Cannon's first night in a big boy bed. He was so excited. I am happy that tonight was trick or treating because he was worn out from all the walking and no nap! I hope he sleeps all night.

I can't believe my baby is almost 3 years old. It has gone by so fast and he is learning so much. Carson comes home from kindergarten with a new song every week and Cannon starts singing soon after. He is like a little sponge.
